I'm using a MAC and cannot play the puzzles
MAC support is a bit spotty, it has been difficult to maintain compatibility with the various
macintosh upgrades over the years. We currently don't have the resources to identify all the combinations of mac
hardware/software that support the appropriate level of Flash necessary to run our games.
We appologize for this and hope to address it as soon.

What are the different types of tournament play?
We have developed three types of tournaments - Super, Speed
and Swiss Tournaments. All winners are determined by who has
the fastest time in head-to-head, bracket competition. Twelve
(12) Boxerjam puzzles are available in these three types of
tournaments. (Tournaments aren't available for Wordsense and
the Daily Jigsaw.)
Super tournaments are 32-person, seeded, single elimination
tournaments. A "round" is played every day and each winner
advances to the next round. So, with 32 people, the tournament
has 6 rounds, thus a winner is determined in 6 days.
Speed Tournaments are 8-person, seeded, single elimination
tournaments. A "round" is played every few minutes (depending
on the length of the puzzle) and each winner advances to the
next round. So, with 8 people, the tournament has 4 rounds,
thus a winner is determined in about an hour.
Swiss Tournaments are 16-person, seeded tournaments. A "round" is played
every day and a player's rank may change every day.

Is there money involved in the Tournament play?
No. Besides the subscription fee to join the Puzzle
Zone, the play is for fun, recognition and to provide a challenge.
There's no chance to win or lose money.

Can I still play my puzzles by myself and not be in a
Tournament?
Absolutely, you can always play your daily Boxerjam puzzles
by yourself without being in a tournament.
Can I still become a Power Puzzler?
You bet! Become a Power Puzzler by solving 7 of the 14 puzzles
before time runs out without using any of the help aids such
as "show initials" in The A-List or the "errors" option in Crossword
Plus. If you use any of these you may still hear the Power
Puzzler when you finish within the time allowed, but your
name will not appear on the Power Puzzler list. If you win
seven or more puzzles, your name will be listed on the Power
Puzzler list tomorrow. To accommodate many time zones, the
lists are posted at approximately 5 a.m. Eastern time. To
be a Super Power Puzzler, you must be a Power Puzzler in 10
puzzles. Super Power Puzzlers appear in bold.

How are Leaderboards and Recent Winners updated?
In addition to Power Puzzlers, there are 3 other areas of
the Puzzle Zone where winning players and scores are posted:
Leaderboards (for Daily Puzzles), Recent Winners (for Speed
Tournaments) and Today's Leaders (for Super and Swiss Tournaments).
- Leaderboards are updated every 15 minutes and use
the same basic rules as the High Scores for the Game Shows:
each player can only qualify once in each puzzle (Clink,
Dingbats, etc.) and players can only qualify for today's
daily puzzle - if you play more than once only your first
score actually counts.
- Recent Winners is simply a list of people who have
recently won a Speed Tournament, and the list is updated
every 15 minutes with the last 20 people to win a speed
tournament. If more than 20 people have won in the last
15 minutes then the most recent winners are shown.
- Today's Leaders is updated every 15 minutes with
a sorted list of the best scores earned playing in a particular
Super or Swiss Tournament.
